First, I must say that I am very excited for this event! I’m hoping you all are as well and that you find it very informative.

As part of the first meeting, we would like to invite any speakers that would like to perform a lightning talk. For those that do not know, a lightning talk is a quick 5min talk about any topic that the speaker wishes to talk about. There is NO question/answer period at the end and is simply a quick talk to give an overview about a topic that they are interested in.

If you would like to participate, please leave a comment with your name and the topic of choice. If there is already a talk given by someone else, please do NOT let that hesitate you in giving your own talk.

We are still in the process of finalizing the agenda and depending on how many people sign up to talk, we will be planning the agenda. Please have your topics submitted by Monday, October 26th by 6PM so that we will have enough time to plan the event accordingly.

We encourage everyone to participate in these talks since we would like to get YOUR feedback and talk about topics that interest you and not necessarily the people involved in the planning of these events. If anyone has any questions or concerns about their talk, feel free to contact any of us.

See you all soon!!
